Letting them adjust to your voice & scent
Give your hamster 2 to 3 days to adjust to their new cage before trying to touch them. Once settled, sit near the enclosure, talk softly, and rest your hand flat inside with a treat so they can sniff you on their own terms.

Let them explore the cage undisturbed for the first 48 hours. Offer seeds from your fingertips without sudden movements. Always scoop them gently from underneath—never grab from above. Interact in the evening when they are naturally active
